The ongoing adoption of Cloud Computing has lead to an increase in the level of complexity of the existing services and inherently new challenges for companies willing to migrate in order to benefit from this new paradigm. Due to this evolving complexity of heterogeneous clouds, new approaches based on the principles of self-management and self-organization are foreseen, such that one can limit the burden of low-level service management (such as provisioning, scheduling, optimization, orchestration etc.), and offer rather a high-level approach with increased accessibility to heterogeneous resources, and reduced effort for development, deployment or optimization.
This workshop intends to bring interested researchers from around the world to explore the challenges and opportunities that exist in relation with the hot topics that can be identified in cloud self-management and optimization, in order to meet the needs of modern cloud applications.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- The workshop page limit is 6 pages
Full papers will be submitted via easychair. The submission format will follow the recommended format of the ICAC conference. By using the template provided by the IEEE publisher one can easily achieve conference’s recommendations. IEEE recommended format. The program committee, potentially assisted by outside referees in limited cases, will do reviewing of full papers. We will assign in the first step at least two reviewers for a submission and, if we don’t have a clear decision we will designate an advocate. The evaluation will be based on originality, scientific significance, technical soundness, and clarity of presentation. Accepted papers will be shepherded through an editorial review process by a member of the program committee. Accepted submissions will be treated as confidential prior to publication. Rejected submissions will be permanently treated as confidential. By submitting a paper, the authors agree that, in case the paper is accepted, at least one of them will attend the workshop to present it. This is the strong condition for a submission to be considered for publication in the special issue.
