All those working and practicing across different aspects of music, singing and song, and researchers from across the Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences or Medical Research, who are researching singing are invited to send submissions and/or workshop proposals.
Conference organisers: The organising committee is a team of postgraduate researchers, early career researchers and University staff from the University of Glasgow, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of Edinburgh interested in research in singing.

We are planning on going ahead online for the following reasons:
1) Many conferences, workshops and talks planned for this year have been cancelled due to COVID-19.
2) We wish to do our bit to boost morale (and keep busy at this difficult time!)
3) Continuing with the conference online has the potential to make it more accessible and affordable to a whole load of people who may be interested in attending.
4) We are also invested in finding tech solutions for group singing during the inevitable lockdown period.
5) A virtual platform offers new creative potential that we hope to explore.
With the aim of accessibility in mind we are moving the conference to an afternoon - early evening slot (GMT) to allow our friends abroad to join us as much as possible. We are planning on proceeding using Zoom and other online services and we are currently seeking guidance on how we can make the conference a success. Needless to say, we have had to go back to the drawing board with the budget. We will be in touch with you with updates about registration and conference fees in due course, but rest assured we are doing our best to keep our prices as low as possible. We hope that you will be happy to give your talk or lecture recital virtually and we will do our best to make sure that we can find AV solutions to any of you planning on giving non-traditional presentations. Please email us at spheres-of-singing@glasgow.ac.uk and let us know if you would like to present or not so that we can put the conference programme together as quickly as possible.
