Abstract Submission: before 4th August 2017
INTRODUCTION:
The 15th International Conference on Symposium Kebudayaan Indonesia-Malaysia 2017 is organized by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia in collaboration with Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Indonesia in an attempt to strengthen the network of scholarship and expertise between academics from both universities. This conference is aimed to discuss and explore issues regarding common problems occurs between Malaysia and Indonesia. The conference covers wide range areas of social sciences and interdisciplinary sciences such as food security, health, culture, language and literature, sociology-anthropology, information and technology, the environmental issues, energy security, economics and business, politics, communication, defense and security studies. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality and relevance to the topics of conference.
The symposium has been taking place biennially since 1985 and since then, Malaysia (UKM) and Indonesia (UNPAD) have been taking turns as the host of this symposium. This 30-year cooperation has become a platform for the two countries to discuss cultural issues and theoretical perspectives, concepts and methodologies. The themes discussed in SKIM I through SKIM XV have always been interrelated and interconnected. This year’s theme is entitled “Sustainable Development in social sciences for improving well-being”
OBJECTIVES :
- To strengthen the roles and contributions of the two countries for the benefit of their respective communities so that they can contribute to the dissemination of knowledge that would help in translating various forms of transformations for the community;
- To stimulate a research culture through knowledge transfer and to generate wealth and harmony for the well-being of the local community
- To be the driving power in achieving the aims of “Sustainable Development in social sciences for improving well-being”
CONFERENCE SCOPES:
All topics related to politics and social sciences and security studies are welcome.
Researchers, Academics, Ph.D Students and Corporate Community are invited to present their papers and posters on the following areas:
