Submission Guidelines
Dear SFL Scholars, Research Students and Interested Members,
Welcome to the 1st International Online Systemic Functional Linguistics Interest Group (SFLIG) Conference. The theme “Systemic Functional Linguistics: Theory and Application” invites us to explore advances in SFL theory and its application in the contemporary global context. Since 2020, the world has raced to respond to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and it is more important than ever to know how SFL theory has been applied and researched in various fields during this challenging context. We, therefore, invite contributions using the overarching theoretical framework of SFL before and during COVID-19 to present at our conference and publish in our peer reviewed international conference proceedings.
Please submit your conference abstract for peer review on Easy Chair by 31st March 2021.
You will also need to complete and upload a proposal form (attached) to indicate your other choices for presentation (e.g., research paper or workshop) in the abstract submission form on Easy Chair. Please find attached the step-by-step instructions document for abstract submission.
To support all SFL scholars, research students and interested members during this challenging time, we make the first international online SFLIG Conference totally free of charge. Please consider submitting your abstract for peer review before the due date.
