The ACM Creativity & Cognition 2019 (C&C 2019) Workshop on Sketching Creativity and Cognition (SCCW 2019) aims to provide a forum for researchers in the various interdisciplinary fields to engage in and explore research outcomes and discussions on sketching interactions, specifically for interfaces that promote creativity and cognition.
Attendees of the workshop will actively experience sessions related to the presentation, discussion, and sharing of discoveries and innovations that target or leverage sketching interactions for interfaces in domains that include the learning sciences, education, artificial intelligence, and engineering. The workshop serves as a platform to encourage opportunities of new collaborations and inspire growth for leveraging sketching interactions towards creativity and cognition.
Submission Guidelines
The C&C 2019 Workshop on Sketching Creativity and Cognition invites the following paper categories submissions investigating research works that target or leverage sketching interactions on interfaces:
- Intention-to-Submit abstracts: Submissions for intention-to-submit abstracts allow authors to more optimally communicate their intentions to contribute a submission for submission to the workshop organizers, while also providing authors additional time to prepare and submit a completed work.
- Position papers: Submissions for position papers serve to describe and present a full topic on their position of sketching interactions in relation to creativity and cognition.
- Poster abstracts: Submissions for poster abstracts serve to describe and present early-stage work on the leveraging of sketching interactions for promoting creativity and cognition in a chosen domain or specialization.
Submissions will be judged on the following criteria:
- Criteria #1: strength of work
- Criteria #2: relevancy to workshop’s theme
- Critiera #3: adherence to submission requirements
