SBE19 Brussels - BAMB-CIRCPATH
“Buildings As Material Banks – A Pathway For A Circular Future”
Welcome to SBE19 Brussels - BAMB-CIRCPATH
Call for abstracts
The Consortium of the H2020 BAMB Project is proud to inform that the BAMB final event is part of the worldwide prestigious SBE19 Conference Series. The SBE19 Brussels - BAMB-CIRCPATH “Buildings As Material Banks – A Pathway For A Circular Future” will be held in Brussels on 05 to 07 of February 2019.
This EU funded project brings 16 partners from 7 European countries throughout Europe together for one mission - enabling a systemic shift in the building sector by creating circular solutions. Since the end of 2015, BAMB has been developing and integrating tools that will enable the shift to a circular built environment: Reversible Building Design tools and Materials Passports – supported by new business models, policy suggestions, management and decision-making models. In addition to testing BAMB tools developed; design, manufacturing and construction innovations, as well as the environmental and economic benefits of circular buildings have also been investigated through 6 real-life pilot projects.
The 1st day of the BAMB-CIRCPATH event will be an industry day during which the Consortium will present the results of the project through interactive sessions. This 1st day will be an opportunity for all stakeholders of the construction sector to learn more about what BAMB has achieved, provide feedback, exchange views on what is next and share the steps achieved on the pathway towards a circular future. The participation in this part of the event, the industry day, is free of charge but subject to early registration for logistics purposes.
The 2nd and 3rd days of the event will be dedicated to a scientific conference on the pathways towards a circular economy in the building/construction sector. This international conference intends to bring together researchers and industry experts from the entire world to exchange their ideas and research and showcase advanced innovative technologies and methodologies for the built environment.
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their abstracts of no more than 250 words by the 1st of July 2018 at the latest. All abstracts must be submitted in the Easychair through the following link:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bambcircpath2019
All accepted papers will be published in collaboration with IOP Publishers as open access papers in electronic proceedings within IOP Conference Series Earth and Environmental Science (EES, http://conferenceseries.iop.org) and submitted for indexing by ISI (Web of Science) and Scopus. Book of abstracts will be made available to delegates in electronic form.
The participation in the scientific part of the event is subject to a registration fee. More information is available in BAMB’s webpage:
