Q-SORT 2019 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON QUANTUM IMAGING AND ELECTRON BEAM SHAPING
- Dates: 02 -05 July 2019
- Venue: Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light | Staudtstraße 2, 91058 Erlangen | Germany
- Web: http://www.qsort.eu/conference-2019-overview/
On July 02-05 2019 the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light will host the International Conference on Quantum Imaging and Electron Beam Shaping
This conference is organized jointly by the partners of the projects Quantum Sorter – A new Measurement Paradigm in Electron Microscopy (H2020-FETOPEN) with the support of Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen and Institute Nanoscience CNR (CNR-NANO)
The Q-SORT International Conference on Quantum Imaging and Electron Beam Shaping aims to gather experts from the fields of electron and laser beam shaping, free-space electron optics, and related sub-fields of quantum mechanics. Participants will present and share their latest discoveries and innovations. This meeting will be one of the first of its kind: it is thus uniquely positioned, since luminaries and pioneers from all the above research fields will be present. They will have the possibility to closely interact and exchange ideas for new, interdisciplinary collaborations. It will include space for product displays. There will be opportunities for networking and discussion, as well as an edit-a-thon, an interdisciplinary workshop and a webinar.
The event will be constituted of selected top-level proposals. Demo and poster sessions will also be organized.
The conference will bring together leading researchers from the fields of electron microscopy and quantum light optics, i.e. CNR-NANO, the Forschungszentrum Jülich, Technion, Tel-Aviv University, Thermo Fisher Scientific, The Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, University of Glasgow, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Maastricht University, University of Ottawa. Representatives from the European Commission, Wikimedia, and the creative industries will also be in attendance.
Submissions are open through April 25, 2019.
Q-SORT has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under Grant Agreement No 766970 Q-SORT (H2020-FETOPEN-1-2016-2017)
