We are happy to announce that the next Psycholinguistics in Flanders will be held in Kaiserslautern, Germany, May 7-8, 2020. A pre-conference workshop will be held on May 6th titled Understanding the Publishing Process, facilitated by Prof. Shanley Allen.
Psycholinguistics in Flanders (PiF) is an annual conference dedicated to the psychology of language. PiF started in 2002 in Belgium and has quickly gained relevance in Europe thanks to the growing participation of international presenters and attendees. Although it is most often held in Belgium, the Center for Cognitive Science at the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern in Germany is honored to have been selected to host the conference in 2020, together with a committee of two other universities in the University of the Greater Region consortium: Université de Liège (Belgium) and Universität des Saarlandes (Germany).
The conference is targeted to PhD students and post-docs in psycholinguistics broadly defined, offering them a friendly but professional environment for presenting their research, networking, forming new collaborations, and developing future career plans. Senior scholars also attend and provide feedback, but first authors and presenters must all be junior scholars. We welcome contributions from researchers working in psycholinguistics from different perspectives (psychological, neurocognitive, linguistic, computational), interested in various aspects of language such as reading, text comprehension, word processing, learning, speech production, and speech perception.
