PATA Days 2018, in the spirit of all succesful previous meetings, will bring together researchers working on every aspect of active tectonics, with special emphasis on Paleoseismology and Archeoseismology. We welcome contributions in any of the following fields:
- Active fault systems
- Earthquake geology and paleoseismology
- Archeoseismology and historical seismology
- Seismotectonics
- Geological input in Seismic Hazard Assessment
- Fault hazards in engineering projects
We hope to compile an interesting and interdisciplinary programme, with special emphasis on the work of young researchers. You may submit a paper using the guidelines and the template in this page.
Registration costs cover attendance, conference material, coffee breaks, lunches and dinners, as well as social events.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Authors should use the paper template, and all of the general formatting (e.g., A4 size paper, 2-column, embedded figures, included-sections, headers, footers, etc.) and specific formatting (e.g., font styles/sizes, spacing, reference styles, etc) information contained in it, to create a similar-looking document. Paper length should not exceed 4 pages.
Publication
PATA Days 2018 proceedings will be published in a volume that will be distributed during the meeting, and will also be made available online.
Venue
The meeting will take place in two venues that are located close to each other. Oral contributions will be presented during the morning and early afternoon sessions at Possidi Holidays Resort & Suites Hotel, a beachfront hotel with plenty of amenities. Lunch and coffee breaks are also included in the registration fees.
Poster sessions, plenary talks and social events will take place at Aristotle University's own camping, which offers accomodation and catering facilities to academic staff, employees and students of the University. Participants to the workshop will be given a personalized access card.
