The Nordic Logistics Research Network (NOFOMA) is a network of researchers within the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Originating within the Nordic countries, the NOFOMA conference has developed into a unique meeting place for Logistics and Supply Chain Management researchers from all over the world.
In addition to the main conference, NOFOMA is also the NORDLOG doctoral symposium, the Educator´s Day, and the Conference Proceedings
The NORDLOG doctoral symposium on June 12 is an inspirational full day for PhD students to share experiences and learn from senior researchers. We place strong emphasis on facilitating for networking with future colleagues.
The Educator’s Day is a meeting place for lecturers within logistics and SCM.
The 31st Nofoma Conference will be jointly hosted by BI Norwegian Business School and Norwegian Defence University College.

Submission Guidelines
Please use the link given on the conference webpage to submit your abstracts on Easychair. You can create an easychair account if you do not have one. Please use the template given on the webpage to make your abstracts.
Later on you may upload either a Full paper or an extended abstract (work-in-progress) based on your initial abstract.
The abstract should be maximum 250 words in total, and include the following sub-headning: i) Purpose; ii) Design/methodology/approach; iii) Findings; iv) Research limitations/implications, v) Practical implications; Social implications (if applicable); Originality/value. Deadline for submission of abstracts is 21.January
Full paper submission: at 28.January you will receive an email confirming that your abstract has been selected for submission as a full paper. Please note that the deadline for submission of full papers, which is 11.March, is a FINAL date. Earlier submissions are encouraged as it helps us to manage the review process in a timely manner. After full paper submission, the paper is put through a double-blind review process. The authors of full papers will receive comments from reviewers as soon as possible, but no later than 15. April
Work-in-progress submission: we encourage researchers and practitioners to submit works-in-progress (WIP) as it provides a unique opportunity for sharing valuable ideas, eliciting useful early-stage feedback on current work and preliminary results, and fostering discussions and collaborations among colleagues. All accepted WIP submissions will be presented at the conference. WIPs are to be submitted as Extended abstracts. These should not exceed three pages. Deadline for submission is 13.May
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Publication
Selected papers from NOFOMA 2019 Conference will be invited for a special issue of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management.
Best Paper Award
The best doctoral paper and the best paper involving a senior researcher paper will be awarded with the DB Schenker best paper award. The DB Schenker best paper award honours papers that have a high academic value as well as practical relevance.
Venue
The main conference and Educators’ Day will take place at the BI campus in Nydalsveien 37, Oslo, whereas the Nordlog doctoral symposium will be at Akershus Fortress, centrally located in Oslo.
Getting to and from Oslo
- By air: Oslo Airport Gardermoen. Airport Express Train runs every 10 minutes to Oslo Central Station (Oslo S)
- By rail: Oslo Central Station (Oslo S)
- By metro from Oslo S to BI: Metro line 4 or 5 to Nydalen station. Travel time approx. 16 minutes
