The 1st National Blue Carbon Symposium (NBCS-1) will bring together experts and practitioners from around the Philippines and SE Asian region to better understand Blue Carbon as an ecosystem service to mitigate climate and human impacts on coastal ecosystems – and how to respond. The Symposium is a great opportunity to share information, highlight activities, build partnerships and shape the future of this important field.
The Symposium will:
- Highlight the latest information on how the coastal domain in the country and region is changing, what is at risk and how to respond;
- Identify key gaps in knowledge, policy and practice in blue carbon science and technology;
- Promote collaborations; and
- Stimulate the next generation of science, policy and actions
The Symposium will include:
- Great sessions, presentations, and posters
- Opportunities for pre- or post-meeting workshops
- Special events for early career scientists
- Sponsorship and Exhibit Opportunities
