Manuscript Preparation:
- Research Articles – Full-length papers of up to 4000-6,000 words containing results of original research.
- Research Notes – Typically of 3,000-5,000 words. They are not full academic papers but are discussion notes seeking to advance a new idea, theoretical perspective, research program, or methodological approach in organization studies. This category is a vehicle for specific types of material that merit publication, but do not require all the ‘normal’ components of a full research article. It might also be relevant where it is not necessary to repeat the literature review, methodology, etc.
- Features –To give the reader a chance to more fully understand some interesting dimension of the subject as it deals with a subject in greater depth and, usually, at greater length.
- Book Review- To cover an overview of the contents of the book as well as a critical account of the book, i.e. its merits and its shortcomings. Length of text should be around 1,400-1,800 words.
- Short articles: Typically of 300 to 400 words and provide the necessary information on the subject area in brief.
- Special issues: To publish articles come from a workshop or symposia or conference focusing on specific themes, often related to a “hot topic” in that particular field of research.
Language:
The language of the manuscript must be in English (either American or British standard, but not the mixture of both).
Length of paper:
The length of the paper should not exceed 25 pages (Times New Roman, 12 Font) excluding tables, figures, references, and appendices (if any). Paper containing more than 25 pages words will be returned to the author(s) to abridge. Articles should be typed in double-space (including footnotes and references) on one side of the paper only (preferably A4) with wide margins. Authors are urged to write as concisely as possible, but not at the expense of clarity.
Title Page:
The title page should include author names and affiliations together with the email of the corresponding author must appear on the first page of the manuscript. The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
Manuscript format:
Manuscripts of papers will be collected in electronic form through the MEC electronic system. Authors have to submit manuscripts in the format described below as Microsoft Word or LaTex file with the title and name of the corresponding author.
- Use a single column, double-spaced text
- Leave a margin of 1.25 inch on all side
- Use 12 point Times New Roman font
- Ensure that the pages are numbered
The manuscript should be prepared in English as per the following guidelines for different sections.
Abstract:
The abstract must be a single paragraph of 250 words or less. It should contain a concise summary of the manuscript including the primary objective of the research along with the major findings. It should not contain abbreviations, footnotes, references and mathematical equations. Three to five keywords or phrases must be provided that describes the research to help readers find the article.
Keywords:
Please provide 4 to 6 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes.
Sections of the manuscript:
Major headings and sub-headings should be bold and in lower-case letters. They must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals. They should be placed at the beginning of the line.
Citations:
All references should be cited in the text by number only enclosed in parentheses. At the end of the article, list the references in the order in which they appear in the text.
Graphics:
All graphics (figures, line drawings, and photographs) must be of a high enough quality for good reproduction. Line drawings and photographs should not be combined into one figure. Figures should be numbered consecutively and referred to in the text in the same order. The figure captions should be provided below it. All figures should be referred to in the text. Do not abbreviate the word Figure whenever used in the manuscript.
Tables:
Tables must be double-spaced editable text with table caption on top. All tables should be numbered consecutively, given concise titles, and cited in the text in the order in which they appear in the manuscript.
Equations:
All-important equations should be displayed on separate lines and numbered in consecutive order. Equation numbers should be provided in parentheses using Arabic numerals. All equations must be written using the same font size as the text.
Abbreviations:
Abbreviations should be avoided except when absolutely necessary. Because abbreviations make the text difficult to read. Only cumbersome and very long terms should be abbreviated.
The following guidelines should be used when abbreviations are used in the text:
- Define abbreviations when used in the text the first time. For example, Negative Bias Temperature Instability (NBTI).
- Avoid all but the most standard abbreviations in the abstract.
- Abbreviations rather than words should be used in presenting units and percentages (e.g. cm, mm, kg, ml, %, etc.).
System of units:
All system units must be in SI (Metric) Units.
Acknowledgment:
A description of sources of funding, financial disclosure, and the role of sponsors must be included in the Acknowledgement section of the manuscript. Technical support and administrative support that are related to the research work in the manuscript are welcome to be included in the Acknowledgement.
References/ Bibliography:
There must be a reference list including all those references cited in the text. References should be in full and should provide the reader with needed information to retrieve and examine the cited reference. Unpublished results and personal communication are not recommended in the reference list but may be mentioned in the text. If these references are included in the reference list they should follow the standard reference style of the journal. Citation of a reference as “in the press” implies that the item has been accepted for publication. The following guidelines are used for references:
- Arrange the list of cited references in sequential numerical order.
- Use initials for first and middle names in all citations.
- Initials are placed after the author’s last name.
- Place single-authored articles before those in which the individual is a senior joint author
- List two or more titles chronologically when the authors of these references are identical.
- The abbreviated titles of journals must be in italics, followed by the year with a comma.
- The volume of journal number must be in bold (without using the word volume), followed by a colon and then page numbers (without using pp.).
- The titles of the books must be in italics, followed by the Edition Number, Publisher, Place of publication, Year and the Page number.
