MATSYM17 is a symposium organized by the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University in conjunction with Mathe-dual e.V. Its intent is to provide alumni and recent graduates of the Scientific Programming integrated degree program [1] a platform for presenting their Bachelor's Thesis to a broader public.
Submission Guidelines
All participants have to be graduates of the Scientific Programming integrated degree program. We will not accept submissions from other participants.
All papers should present the contents of the author's Bachelor's Thesis. All submissions have to be commited via EasyChair before the submissions deadline (16.07.2017 Extended: 30.07.2017). The language for submissions is English. A Paper Template is available.
Please do not include any personal information, e.g. author's names, in the submitted paper, as a double-blind review will be carried out. You can use placeholders like "Author 1" or the like, if needed. If a paper is accepted, the author(s) will be asked to submit a camera-ready version including personal information.
The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers (A full paper of length 4 - 8 pages has to be submitted; Each accepted Paper has to be presented in a 20 minutes talk at the Symposium)
- Posters (An abstract of length 1 - 2 pages has to be submitted; Each accepted Poster has to be presented during the Symposium's Poster Session)
- Demos (An abstract of length 1 - 2 pages has to be submitted; Each accepted Demo has to be presented during the Symposium's Demo Session)

Publication
MATSYM17 proceedings will be published on the RWTH Publications platform.
Awards
There are three awards for MATSYM17: Best Paper Award, Best Poster Award, Best Demo Award
Each award will include a prize money, which is sponsored by Mathe-dual e.V.
Venue
The symposium will be held in Aachen at the IT Center of RWTH Aachen University.
