The 2nd edition of the Language Processing and Knowledge Management conference
is organized by the University of Sfax, Tunisia. It will take place this year in FSEG
Sfax, Tunisia from October 17th to 18th, 2018.
Development of new technologies and various intelligent systems creates new
possibilities for intelligent and efficient data processing. Natural Language
Processing (NLP) addresses problems of automated understanding, processing, and
generation of natural human languages
This conference provides a venue for presenting innovative research in NLP related,
but not restricted, to computational and mathematical modelling, analysis and
processing of any forms (spoken, handwritten or text) of human language and
knowledge creation and management. The LPKM workshop will provide an
opportunity for researchers working in the domains of NLP, Machine Learning and
Data Science to discuss present and future challenges as well as potential
collaboration for future progress in the field of NLP.
The submitted papers shall cover research and developments in all NLP, Machine
Learning and Data Sciences aspects, such as (however this list is not exhaustive):
1. Natural Language Processing
Computational methods applied to language text processing
Text analysis
Language networks
Text classification
Document clustering
Various forms of text recognition
Machine translation
Text-to-speech (TTS) and speech-to-text (STT) methods
Authorship identification and verification
Author profiling
Plagiarism detection
Knowledge extraction and retrieval from text and natural language structures
Multi-modal and natural language interfaces
Sentiment analysis
Language-oriented applications and tools
NLP applications in education
Language networks, resources, and corpora
Summarization
Question Answering
Social Media
Text generation
Anaphora resolution
Word sense disambiguation
Recognizing textual entailment
2. Machine Learning and Data Science
Data Mining
Big Data
Statistical Analysis
Decision Trees
Knowledge processing
Large Scale Methods

references) and formatted according to Springer LNCS style. LNCS style template
can be downloaded here.
Submitted papers should describe, in English, original work that has not been
published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers will be refereed and
accepted on the basis of their scientific merit, relevance, clarity of presentation, and
