We are delighted to invite submissions for the annual International Conference on Infant and Early Child Development held at Lancaster University, U.K., which is home to one of the most well-established and prominent Babylabs in Europe. Our aim is that this conference will provide an opportunity for infant and child development researchers (prenatal – 4 years old) with a broad range of interests and methodologies, and at various stages of their career, to come together in a welcoming and research-focused environment.
We invite abstract submissions relating to any aspect of infant and early child development including perceptual and cognitive development, early language development and social development. We encourage submissions incorporating a broad range of methodologies, for example EEG/ERP, eye-tracking, ECG, fNIRS, looking times, observational methods and computational modelling. Although the main focus of the conference is development during the infancy period, we will also consider abstracts reporting on earlier (fetal) development, or later (preschool) development. In the latter case, priority will be given to research which is relevant to understanding infant development.
Alongside established researchers, we welcome attendance and submissions from early career researchers (MSc/PhD students) who wish to engage with other researchers in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. There will be a Special Poster Session for researchers to showcase their research and ideas which may not contain any empirical data.
Please refer to the key dates section of the website to ensure abstracts are submitted before the deadline. Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words and will be reviewed by the conference committee with all decisions based on the scientific quality of the abstracts submitted.
