The International Workshop on Advanced Image Technology (IWAIT) is a well-known international event that gathers researchers, professors, students and interested persons in the field of advanced image technology. Previous IWAIT events have been held annually since 1998 in Eastern and South Eastern Asian countries such as Korea (1998, 2001, 2005, 2009), Taiwan (1999, 2002, 2008, 2015), Japan (2000, 2003, 2006, 2013), Singapore (2004), Thailand (2007, 2014), Malaysia (2010), Indonesia (2011) and Vietnam (2012).
International Workshop on Advanced Image Technology 2018 (IWAIT 2018) will be held on January 7-10, 2018 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. IWAIT 2018 will provide an international forum for researchers and engineers who are interested in the field of advanced image technologies.
Submission Guidelines
Authors who are interested to submit a paper to IWAIT 2018 will first need to submit a 1 Page Extended Abstract. The Extended Abstract should be submitted electronically in PDF to the EasyChair submission system by September 10, 2017. The structure of the Extended Abstract should include the following:
- Abstract and keywords
- Introduction
- Proposed Method(s)
- Findings / Discussion
- Conclusion and recommendations
Authors who received acceptance notification for their Extended Abstracts will be requested to submit camera-ready manuscript of their Full-length Papers in 2-4 page format as specified by the paper template provided by the IWAIT 2017 organizers no later than November 1, 2017. Please note that each paper is subject to a minimum of one regular registration by November 1, 2017.
Full-length Papers should be submitted electronically in PDF to the EasyChair submission system.
PRESENTER INSTRUCTIONS
Oral Presentation - Each technical session room is equipped with a computer and an LCD projector. MS Power Point (English) and Acrobat Reader are installed on the computer. Each presentation slide should be loaded from an USB flash memory 10 minutes before the start of the session. You should have enough time to cope with any possible technical problems. Oral presentation consists of the following:-
- Up to 12 minutes for presentation of the problem statement, background, innovative approach, experimental results, and conclusion
- Up to 5 minutes [depending on A] of discussion and Q/A will be conducted with the attendees in the session.
Note: If you bring your own device(s), please ensure you prepare necessary accessories, such as cable(s) and connector(s).
Poster Presentation - Poster boards will be set in the poster session areas. Your poster paper material must fit into a A1 size (594 x 841 mm) space (width x height). Cello-tapes will be placed in the area.The presenter should put his/her poster on the assigned board with the correct paper number. An author must be present during a whole designated period of time. Each poster must be displayed before the start of the poster session. The presenter is responsible to remove his/her poster sheet and to clear the board for the next session right after the session time.

Camera Ready Submission Instructions - The final camera ready paper is due on 1 November 2017. This is a firm deadline for the production of the proceedings. Please submit your paper using your EasyChair author account. The page limit is *4 page(s) and is strict. You can refer to the Sample Extended Abstract. Also, for track selection, please indicate your preference (oral [OR] / poster [PT]) track by submission file naming, using the following naming style: PT_PaperID.pdf (poster preference) and OR_PaperID.pdf (oral preference). For example, if your paper ID is 003 and you prefer poster presentation, then the filename of your camera ready paper should be eg. "PT_003.pdf".
