The Second International Symposium on Simulation and Process Modelling (ISSPM 2020) will be held on August 22-23, 2020, in Shenyang, China. The symposium provides a forum in virtual presentation for scholars, researchers and practitioners interested in the modelling and simulation of business processes, production and industrial processes, service and administrative processes, and public sector processes to develop the theory and practice of simulation and process modelling.
The symposium will invite leaders from industry and academia to exchange and share their experiences, present research results, explore collaborations and to spark new ideas, with the aim of developing new projects and exploiting new technology in these fields, and bridge theoretical studies and practical applications in all science and engineering branches. It is convened by the Liaoning Association of Automation, China, organised by the Shenyang JianZhu University, Shenyang, China and the Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, and supported by the University of the West of England, Bristol, UK, Arizona State University, Tempe, Arizona, USA, and Shenyang Henryton Co. Ldt.
The papers submitted to the Symposium should original and unpublished work within the symposium topics or related. All of the manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the international program committee. The papers accepted will be published in international journals.
Submission Guidelines
The prospective authors of the Symposium are kindly invited to submit full-text papers including results, tables, figures and references. Full-text papers will be accepted for submission. All submitted papers should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical related to the topics of the Symposium.
All of the submitted papers to the Symposium will be distributed to the IPC members for review. Each paper is limited to 6-8 pages normally, papers less than 6 pages will not be accepted, papers more than 8 pages will be charged for additional page(s), and the maximum length for each paper will be limited to 12 pages. Please follow the template provided on the website of the Symposium. Please follow the format and the requirements carefully.
The papers submitted to the Symposium should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The manuscripts should follow the style of the Symposium and are subject to both review and editing.
Submission Method
Prospective authors are invited to submit full papers including results, figures and references.
Please prepare your manuscript carefully according to the Template (in Word and Latex) and Instructions provided on the website, and complete the submission through EasyChair.
Review Policy
On submission, all papers undergo initial screening for suitability for the ISSPM 2020 by the Program Chairs. Suitable papers will be sent to at least two independent referees chosen by the Chairs, and the reports from the referees are then considered by the Chairs, who will make the final decision.
The organizing committee of ISSPM 2020 makes a special statement concerning contributions as follows:
- All of the papers contributed to ISSPM 2020 must be new papers which have not been published in any journals or publications, and the copyrights of the papers should not have been demised to any institution, organization or individual.
- Several kinds of papers are to be declined by ISSPM 2020:
- Pseudo-papers which are incompetent in reasoning and devoid of any statistics, experiments or designs;
- Plagiarized papers;
- Papers translated by translation software; and
- Papers irrelevant to the theme and scope of this Symposium.
- ISSPM 2020 takes a tough position to plagiarism. All papers registered will be tested for plagiarism. Any paper that fails to pass the plagiarism detection will be sent back to its writer(s).
- ISSPM 2020 earnestly requests paper-contributors to scrupulously abide by academic ethics. ISSPM 2020 also objects to repeated submission of one paper and withdrawal of papers without reason.
- In order to strengthen the supervision and examination of papers and to ensure the quality of papers, the administration team of ISSPM 2020 will examine each paper for several workdays. Please be patient.
