Another Abstract Submission Deadline Extension — 2022-03-27
We are happy to announce that the 4th International Symposium on Applied Phonetics (ISAPh 2022), is organized by Lund University, Sweden, and will take place on 14-16 September 2022.
The conference follows the three previous ISAPh conferences held in Nagoya (2016), Aizuwakamatsu (2018), and Tarragona (2021, online).
The conference will be held at Grand Hotel Lund (www.grandilund.se), and hope to see you in Lund in September 2022.
We are also pleased to announce that conference participation will be free of charge, and lunches as well as the conference dinner are included, thanks to generous donations from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, Elisabeth Rausings minnesfond and Letterstedtska föreningen and Elisabeth Rausing Language Programme.
The conference welcomes contributions from different areas of applied phonetics, that is, any application of the knowledge of phonetic science to daily human life, including, but not exclusive to:
- how phonetic knowledge can guide the teaching and learning of foreign/second languages,
- pronunciation teaching,
- language and accent coaching,
- socio-phonetics,
- clinical phonetics,
- speech technology,
- speech pathology,
- forensic phonetics

Abstracts must be no more than 2 pages, including figures and references, and they must be written in English. Do not include author names or affiliations, and please submit abstracts as property-free PDF files.

Publication
ISAPh 2022 proceedings will be published at the ISCA (International Speech Communication Association) Archive (https://www.isca-speech.org/archive/#). A selection of articles will be published in a special issue in Journal of Monolingual and Bilingual Speech.
