3rd International Research Roundtable 2022
César Ritz Colleges engages in research for responsible business and society that promotes entrepreneurship, sustainability, leadership, inclusivity, and visionary thinking among business leaders and scholars. The research community at César Ritz Colleges fosters innovation in the domains of entrepreneurship (1), management (2), service, hospitality, and tourism (3).
Our bi-annual roundtables offer an opportunity for scholars and practitioners interested in this theme to share research in progress, exchange opinions, and explore potential collaborations.

Business topics may concern such areas as Innovation, Sustainability, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or Revenue Management.
Submissions are expected to highlight practical implications for hospitality, tourism, or other service organizations.
Submission Guidelines
The following submission categories are welcome: papers for the roundtable discussions (1) or statements of collaborative research interests for the networking sessions in case if the participants do not submit any paper (2).
A brief questionnaire about collaborative research interests, expertise, and availability for academic collaboration will be shared with the research roundtable participants.
It is possible to take part in the research roundtable on campus in Brig, Switzerland, online, both online and on campus, and asynchronously.
Call for Papers for the Roundtable Discussions
- Research Papers (literature review, conceptual, qualitative, or quantitative work in progress) – Extended Abstract, 400-600 words, excluding references, or full manuscript
- Practitionner Business Cases or Opinion Papers (non-academic or practitioner essays presenting an authoritative, personal viewpoint on a current issue or an emerging trend) – Full Paper, 600-1’500 words, excluding references
- Proposal formatting: Times New Roman font size 12 points; line spacing - 2, left and right margin - 2.5 cm. (1 in.), top and bottom - 2.5 cm. (1 in.)
- References should follow Harvard referencing style
- Submissions should be made in PDF format and should not contain any author-identifying information for blind review
- Accepted proposals may be presented at the roundtable synchronously or asynchronously.
- Thematic Roundtable Discussions are scheduled online or on site in Brig campus on 1 September 2022 (tentatively, early afternoon sessions on site in Brig campus and late afternoons online; schedule to be confirmed). It is possible to take part in both on site and online sessions.
- For presenting asynchronously, a 20-minutes recorded video presentation should be shared with the Organizing Committee before the roundtable date.
Call for Statements of Collaborative Research Interests for the Networking Sessions
- Statement of Collaborative Research Interests (research interests, expertise, and availability for academic collaboration) - Summary, up to 200 words
- Proposal formatting: Times New Roman font size 12 points; line spacing - 2, left and right margin - 2.5 cm. (1 in.), top and bottom - 2.5 cm. (1 in.)
- References should follow Harvard referencing style, if any
- Submissions should be made in PDF format
- Separate Research Networking Sessions are scheduled on site in Brig campus (afternoon Swiss time) and for online participation only (evening Swiss time) on 31st August 2022. An informal Research Networking lunch on campus will be held on 2nd September 2022 from 11:30 to 13:00 Swiss time. It is possible to take part in both on site and online sessions.
- Participants that cannot attend any session planned are invited to fill out the event registration questionnaire asynchronously.
Important dates
Submissions are accepted on rolling basis after a double-blind peer review. Successful applicants will be notified within 14 working days. Early submissions are encouraged.
- Opening of the call for the submission of proposals for the roundtable presentations and networking registration – 15 May 2022
- Proposal submission deadline - 31 July 2022
- Notification of proposal acceptance - 15 August 2022
- Registration closes - 15 August 2022
- Research Roundtable - 31 August - 2nd September 2022, Wednesday-Friday (time commitment 1-8 hours per day)

Publication
While IRR 2022-09 proceedings will not be published, the Organizing Committee may encourage publication of selected titles.
