Congress aims to promote a broad reflection on the problems of Humanism and Citizenship, focusing on today's challenges, opportunities, and threats in the (re)construction of full citizenship, issues and the impacts of crises in different spheres.
This event takes place biannually under the aegis of the CeiED of the Lusophone University. Congresses I and II were held in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
The Congress will address various expressions of Citizenship and Humanism, focusing on Human Rights in the most diverse thematic areas: education for citizenship, global citizenship and development, political science, religion, sport, social and community intervention, and social service, among others.
Through studies and research work of the participants, the discussion and reflection on these topics is an opportunity to produce, disseminate and exchange scientific knowledge around the conferences and papers presented.
Congress addresses critically conscious citizens. Academics, researchers, educators, teachers and students, managers, and school principals cover all levels of the formal education system, informal educational and learning contexts, and the various areas of social intervention.
