The 2nd International Conference on Informatics for Development (ICID) will be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 7 November 2018 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) to many aspects of life in general and to the specialized support to person's daily life in particular. Government, education, health, business and industry are just few sectors currently use ICT to improve their business processes Standardization of procedures, strategies for adoption, and selection of alternative technologies are some of the issues that informatics and the ICT in general need to address in order to further promote ICT for development. In the case of developing countries, the use of ICT has had important role in the enhancement of quality of life.
As one of the emerging research field, informatics should be able to address crucial problems currently faced by many unfortunate people throughout the world. Hence, this year the conference will bring up a theme on "Digital of Things".
The accepted and presented papers will be submitted to International Journal of Informatics for Development (IJID) that are indexed by Google Scholar and ICID Proceedings 2018.
Submission Guidelines
- Papers submitted must be original work and should not have been previously published or presented at another event or publication.
- Papers should be written in English.
- For both primary and co-authors, credentials along with their full names and email addresses must be included. If co-authors are from different institutions, the secondary institution(s) and the institution investigators are associate with must be listed using a superscript.
- Papers topic should conform to the scope of the conference.
- The submitted paper is at least of 4 pages and no more than 6 pages with A4 Paper size in doc or pdf format.
Presentation Guidelines
Each parallel symposia will have a moderator, with one or more committee members in attendance. Presenters are allocated 15 minutes to deliver their presentation, with an additional 5 minutes for Q&A. Based on allocated presentation time, the presentation file should ideally contain approximately 10–12 PowerPoint slides. You are responsible for the content of your presentation.
The following will be at your disposal, for use during your presentation:
- Laptop
- Projector and screen
- Microphone
- Laser pointer
Submitting your presentation file
All presenters are required to submit their presentation file during registration on the day of the conference, at the submissions desk in front of the Convention Hall. It is not possible to use your own computer for your presentation.

Your presentation file should be in a format compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (or earlier).

Bring your presentation on a USB memory stick.

Facilities will not be provided for other submission methods.

We highly recommend that you keep a backup of your presentation file on a second USB stick. Please do not embed videos in your presentation.
