About ICDAR-OST 2021
The ICDAR 2021 Workshop on Open Services and Tools for Document Analysis (ICDAR-OST 2021, 3rd edition) is a one-day event that aims at promoting open tools, software, open services (for processing, evaluation, or visualization), as well as facilitating public dataset usage, in the domain of Document Image Analysis Research, building on the experience of our community and of other ones.
Such tools, software, services, formats, or datasets should observe the principles of being reusable (I can use it on my data), transferable (I can use it on my premises), and reproducible (I can obtain the same results).
The accepted contributions are presented during interactive pitch and demo sessions, enabling authors to advertise their work, identify potential issues and solutions in their approach, as well as igniting collaboration with other participants. While this is encouraged, releasing tools with a free/open-source license is not required.
ICDAR-OST is a one-day workshop. It comprises interactive pitch and demo sessions, group brainstormings, and a keynote speech.
Guidelines for authors
For this edition, authors are invited to submit two types of paper :
-
Full papers describing complete works of research (12-15 pages).
-
Short papers providing an opportunity to report on research in progress (6-8 pages).
Accepted papers (full and short papers) will be published in a Springer LNCS volume dedicated to all ICDAR workshops.
The submitted papers will respect the same policy and conditions as ICDAR 2021 conference papers. Papers should be formatted according to the instructions and style files provided by Springer. The LaTeX template for LNCS can be downloaded here. It is also available on Overleaf.
You can also see the author instructions on ICDAR Website for the format or download the LNCS Guidelines for authors.
Submission
Original Software Papers introduce a newly released method, tool, service, or format. Authors can submit papers to promote and showcase finished or ongoing work that is publicly available, preferably under an open-source license. Details about installation, source code availability, documentation, and evolution will be expected in this format, promoting the dissemination of reusable software.
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
