Topics: energy environment food safety

The objective of the International Conference on Chemical Engineering (ICChE), organized once every three years by the Department of Chemical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology abbreviated as BUET, is to provide an international platform for academics, researchers, industrial practitioners, policy makers, technology developers, and students for exchange of ideas, knowledge, understanding and experience. ICChE 2020, which will be the 6th in the series, is to be organized jointly with PSE for SPEED Company with the goal to emphasize the solutions of the grand challenges facing the world in terms of energy, water, food, health-safety and environment. ICChE 2020 aims to cover all core topics of chemical engineering with the focus on selected topics of special interest to petrochemical, chemical, specialty chemical, food, pharma, bio and industrial sectors.

Submission Guidelines

Topics covered (not limited to) by ICChE 2020 are given below:

Special Topics

•The energy, water, environment and food nexus – renewable energy; water resources; environmental impact, food security

•Innovative technologies for circular economy-engineering, resources recovery and waste minimization

•Intelligent systems based on data-driven, machine learning and AI techniques

•Design and analysis of chemical based products such as paints, solvents, refrigerants, cosmetics, fuel-blends, fire-extinguishers, concrete-admixtures, biosensors and drugs

•Analysis, monitoring and management of process safety, health and risk

•Topics of special interest for Bangladesh (biofuels, fertilizers, textiles, pollution, cement-construction)

Core Topics

•Thermodynamics & transport properties (such as property models and databases)

•Catalysis & reaction engineering (such as chemical & bio conversions and combustion)

•Separation processes (such as distillation, absorption, adsorption, and crystallization)

•Food, Pharma and Bioengineering

•Pollution prevention and harmful emission control

•Computing systems and technology (such as modelling, design and synthesis)

•Process Control and Monitoring

•Materials engineering & science (such as membranes, adsorbents and sensors)

•Education (such as curriculum, teaching methods and distance learning)

Instruction for Abstract Submission

An abstract containing sufficient information for fair assessment should be submitted by 31 March 2020 following Abstract Submission Link. After provisional acceptance of an abstract, the full paper will be peer reviewed before its final acceptance. The guidelines for preparing manuscript will be sent with the provisional acceptance letter.
