Explain what IAT-2018 is. IAT-2018 is a CFP for editing a textbook on intelligent assistive technologies and related issues, published by Springer Verlag, within the book series "Intelligent Systems Reference Library", edited by prof. J. Kacprzyk and prof. L. C. Jain. Book chapter submission will be made upon invitation by the editorial team.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers describing original work on theoretical and applicative assistive technologies, rehabilitation technology, adaptive equipment/devices, whose features and performances are strongly improved by computational intelligence.
- Chapter organization and formatting will be as follows.
Title
Authors’ names (TNR, size 12, Bold)
Abstract As a contribution to a scholarly publication, your chapter must include an abstract, consisting of approximately 150-200 words, which will provide your readers with an overview of the content of your chapter. It is important that your abstract clearly states the purpose of your chapter and summarizes the content.
Keywords Please provide 7-10 key terms related to the topic of your chapter.

The whole paper will be between 20 and 40 pages in length.
2 Background / State-of-the Art
Provide broad definitions and discussions of the topic and incorporate views of others (literature review) into the discussion to support, refute or demonstrate your position on the topic.
2.1 Sub-chapter (TNR, size 12, Bold, Italic)
If needed, the author(s) may insert sub-chapters to detail issues discussed in that chapter.
2.1.1 Sub-sub-chapter (TNR, size 11, Bold)
If needed, the author(s) may insert sub-sub-chapters.
3 Materials and methods
Present theoretical issues and background used to approach technically and solve the raised research problem.
4 Main focus of the chapter
Own results, Issues, Controversies, Problems (TNR, size 12, Bold)
Present your own results, analysis and perspective on the issues, controversies, problems, etc., as they relate to theme and arguments supporting your position. Compare and contrast with what has been, or is currently being done as it relates to the chapter's specific topic and the main theme of the book.
5 Discussion and Recommendations
Discuss obtained results, solutions and recommendations in dealing with the issues, controversies, or problems presented in the preceding section.
6 Future Research Directions
Discuss future and emerging trends. Provide insight about the future of the book’s theme from the perspective of the chapter focus. Viability of a paradigm, model, implementation issues of proposed programs, etc., may be included in this section.
