Submission deadline | July 11, 2019 |
The growing need to automate daily tasks, combined with new robot technologies, is driving the development of human-friendly robots, i.e., safe and dependable machines, operating in the close vicinity to humans or directly interacting with them in a wide range of domains. The technological shift from classical industrial robots, which are safely kept away from humans in cages, to robots that are used in close collaboration with humans, is facing major challenges that need to be overcome.
The objective of the workshop is to stimulate a focused single-track discussion and bring together researchers so to share knowledge on design, control, safety and ethical issues, concerning the introduction of robots into everyday life.
Submission Guidelines
Prospective authors should submit their paper in the form of a single PDF file of up to 14 pages, prepared according to the guidelines provided by Springer for Proceedings in Advanced Robotics (SPAR).
Templates for LaTeX and Microsoft users can be downloaded from the HFR 2019 website: www.hfr2019.unimore.it.
Authors are also encouraged to provide a video clip accompanying their paper, by including a link to their video on YouTube (or any other website reachable by reviewers) in the PDF of the paper itself.
NOTE: contributions submitted on the EasyChair system must be marked by the corresponding author as belonging to either the SPAR category, that qualifies for publication on the Springer Proceedings, or non-SPAR category, that only qualifies for presentation at the workshop due to potential copyright issues.
Manuscripts for review are due by June 24th, 2019 July 11th, 2019(23:59:00 GMT) via EasyChair
