HEPS2022: HEPS2022 TU Delft | Industrial Design Engineering Faculty Delft, Netherlands, November 2-4, 2022

HEPS2022 invites submissions for oral or poster presentations, and submissions for special sessions.

Topics might range from physical and cognitive, to behavioral and organisational human factors in healthcare, e.g. from patient handling and decision making to therapy adherence and value-based healthcare. We embrace innovative research, with interdisciplinary work particularly encouraged.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Patient safety

• Safety and resilience in healthcare

• Sociotechnical system design in healthcare

• Value-based healthcare

• Human-centered design for healthcare

• Design of work processes and teamwork

• Tools, equipment and environment design

• Clinical decision making

• Shared decision making

• Digital health, AI

• Research methods, incl. interdisciplinary research approaches

• Patient/citizen participation in health and health research

• Transitions in healthcare

• Health journeys

• Life-long health and well-being (from pre-birth to end of life), prevention, ageing

• COVID-19

All submissions must be in the English language.

HEPS2022 cordially invites professionals, researchers and other experts to submit their work on human factors and ergonomics in healthcare. Authors of abstracts (500 words) can indicate to be interested in an oral presentation or poster presentation.

The paper submission system will be open from 20th January 2022.

Deadline for abstract submission: 28th February 2022.

Notification of acceptance: 15th April 2022.

The template for abstracts (500 words) will be available on 10th December 2021 on the website: www.heps2022.com

Authors of abstracts can submit their work as open call (oral or poster) or they can indicate to be interested to contribute to a special session (oral only). Accepted abstracts that are not selected for a special session will continue as open call abstracts and will be divided into thematic sessions by the HEPS2022 Scientific Committee.

Topics of the special sessions will be announced on this website on 20th January 2022.

Abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit an extended abstract or full paper which will be published in the proceedings of HEPS2022.

Authors of accepted papers are required to register and present their work at the conference.
