HCC Philosophy and Humanities Conference
Conference date: Friday, November 3, 2017 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and Saturday, November 4, 2017, 9:00 am- 1:00 pm.
Location : Houston Community College. Central Campus, 1300 Holman St., Houston, TX 77004. JSAC Building, Auditorium room 101.

There is no registration fee for this conference.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Houston Community College Philosophy and Humanities Conference invites papers or abstracts in all topics of philosophy and humanities, interdisciplinary studies. Special preference will be given to papers that focus on issues related to undergraduate instruction, Mexican-American and Chicano studies, Africana and African-American studies, Women and Gender Studies, and pedagogy.
Papers must be submitted for blind review and should be no longer than 3000 words (please indicate word count at the top of the paper submission – abstract and references are not included in word count).
Abstracts will be accepted. Abstracts can be 350-800 words long.
Presentations should be 30-35 minutes long, with 10-15 minute audience discussion.
We invite submissions from faculty, and graduate and undergraduate students.
