Abstract/Paper Submission Guidelines GGEC19 Global Gender Economics Conference October 2019
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INFORMATION
The abstract/paper system is ready for submissions. Please read the guidelines below for detailed information.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts must be submitted online, as MS documents using the following specific format:
- All Abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Abstracts must be a maximum of 500 words.
- Abstracts must be submitted in Times New Roman 12 point font single line spaced
- The abstract should clearly state the:
- Title
- Principal Topic
- Method (or “Key Propositions” for conceptual papers)
- Results and Implications
- Abstracts must be text only and there is no need to list the references even where in-text references are used (having a couple of key in-text references may be appropriate). Pictures or graphs should not be submitted.
- Contact information for all author/s; including name, affiliation and email addresses must be entered in the online submission form. Make sure author(s) name and contact information do notappear anywhere in the abstract.
- Choose a minimum of three (3) keywords for your paper from the categories listed below, that best reflect the character and subject area of your abstract. Please highlight your keywords at the top of your paper.

- Abstracts must be submitted no later than 4 February 2019 at midnight AEST to be considered
- The suitability of all abstracts will be checked by a ‘double-blind’ international panel of colleagues. If the abstract is accepted, participants will then be invited to submit a full paper (5000 words maximum).
Full papers will be due on 2 March 2019at midnight AEST.
- Full papers which are submitted by the due date will be reviewed by at least two reviewers who will provide developmental feedback.
Program inclusion
- Only submissions where there is a registered & paid submitting author (or delegate) as at 31 March 2019 will be included in the program.
- All full papers must be submitted by 2 March 2019
Please select one (1) of each of the following categories that best reflects the character and subject area of your paper. This will be used in assigning reviewers and developing the conference program. Papers should include a table at the commencement of the paper that shows your selection in each of the categories below;
Academic and industry streams themes (industry opinion pieces and academic journal articles)-5000 words maximum.

PAPER SUBMISSION
Full papers adhering to the below formatting and uploading instructions should be submitted by the due date (Midnight AEST, 2 March 2019)
- Full papers which are submitted by the due date will be blind peer reviewed by at least two reviewers.
- Full papers received by the due date will be reviewed and considered for inclusion in an edited book on Gender Economics.
Instructions for formatting full papers
General formatting guidelines
- Please use Microsoft Word
- FONT: Times New Roman, Size 12, single spacing, justified
- Page format A4
- Page Margins (top: 2.5cm, bottom: 2.5cm, left: 2.5cm, right: 2.5cm)
- You must ensure that the author/s name and contact information does notappear anywhere in your document, including the filename.
- Commence your document with title, followed by abstract (maximum 200 words), followed by keywords, followed by Introduction
- Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of the page and should be kept to a minimum.
- Page numbers for your document should be 10 point, centred and placed in the footer.
Illustrations
- DO NOT use any colour and shading in illustrations as it does not reproduce well in black and white printing. To indicate differentiation on bar graphs, etc., use crosshatches or patterns.
- Appendices should immediately follow the body of the paper. The word Appendix should be a first level heading. If there is more than one appendix, number each consecutively.
