Call for Proposals: 2020 EDGE Conference for Career and Academic Planning

Date and Location: May 27, 2020. Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington Campus (the tree suites).

Keynote Speaker: Daniel Pascoe-Aguilar PhD, MDiv, Associate Provost for Immersive Learning & Career Design at Drew University

EDGE Conference is for anyone working or interested in academic and career planning at IU. We encourage faculty advisors, career coaches, academic advisors, success coaches, and internship supervisors to join us to learn from colleagues and share ideas. Please think of this as YOUR conference and consider flexible options for participating:  

• problem-solving sessions 

• cross-campus collaborations 

• research presentations and papers

• workshops28

• working group sessions

• discussions of shared challenges (consider new or experienced advisor round-tables about professional growth and challenges) 

• Panels

• Group coaching sessions 

The conference will include a keynote speaker and multiple concurrent sessions. Each session will be 50 minutes long.  

Proposals should include: 

• The primary contact person for the proposal should be the first contact listed in the form.

In the Abstract box, please include:

• Presentation/Event title and Abstract (150 words or less) describing your event or presentation and what participants will learn or get out of the experience.

• Desired format – please feel free to be very creative and consider flexible options

• Any audio/visual/technology needs

• Other information that you want us to be aware of, such as presenter accessibility needs, traveling time, etc. 

Proposals must be submitted online by Feb 28, end of day.
