The conference DOGS traditionally presents the research status and trends in digital processing of speech, image and biomedical signals. The 12th conference DOGS 2019 is organized by the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, in cooperation with the School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Niš, and the Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research of Vojvodina, under the custody of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia and the IEEE section of Serbia and Montenegro.
At the plenary session with TELFOR (www.telfor.org.rs), where more than 1000 attendees are expected, a demonstration of the state of the art of speech technology in Serbian will take place. DOGS will have 4 plenary sessions (speech synthesis and recognition, multimodal dialogue systems, processing of images, biomedical and other types of signals), as well as a poster session. Acceptance of 30-40 scientific papers is expected. Plenary sessions will contain 1 or 2 invited papers as well as 4 to 5 regular papers. The remaining 10-20 papers will be presented at a poster session after brief introductory presentations. The conference will include presentations of international, national and interdisciplinary projects related to Vojvodina.
Submission Guidelines
The conference programme will contain invited papers, papers presenting results of on-going research (based on research published since the previous edition of DOGS), original and previously unpublished research, practical demonstration of digital signal processing applications as well as student papers.
Papers should be submitted as extended abstracts (1-2 pages) or as camera-ready versions (up to 4 pages or up to 8 pages for invited papers) using the on-line paper submission system accessible through the conference web site www.dogs.ftn.uns.ac.rs, where the templates are available. The authors present the papers orally (15 minutes), while the papers including practical demonstrations will be granted additional 5 minutes. Required time limit for invited papers is extended to 30 minutes.
List of Topics
- Digital Speech Processing: speech technologies (analysis and synthesis, speech recognition, speaker identification and verification), speech coding, transmission and cryptography, noise reduction, digital speech processing systems, implementation and applications; speech generation and perception, phonology and phonetics, speech pathology, diagnostics based on speech, and others.
