Title: Breakthrough Transformations and Innovations in 3D Printing
Edited by: Manisha Vohra
Estimated publication date: Summer 2022
Scope of work: 3D Printing means creating a physical object from a digital design with the help of certain materials. 3D printing is very useful and has proved to be highly valuable. The kind of ease and advantages it has provided in different sectors through its application is amazing. 3D printing continues to evolve quickly. The recent developments taking place in 3D printing has altogether brought new opportunities and possibilities for achieving great benefits from it.
There are various uses of 3D printing. It is gaining growth in its usage as new different sectors are now trying to utilize it in their work. However, with the growth in its usage, new materials and techniques are in process of being introduced. For example introduction and usage of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in 3D printing is something to explore and write on as they can open new doors of innovation. Till now there is mostly information found and discussed on 3D Printing in general, what it is and its usage in the industrial sector, but other than this, there are a lot more things to explore and discuss about 3D Printing, like possibilities of its usage in non-industrial sectors, new innovations in it, etc.
This book will hopefully have a tremendous impact and be very useful for its readers.
Insight to the book:
ML has the ability to learn. AI and ML in 3D Printing can be used for identifying errors, making the work process simpler. AI and ML could also be helpful in predicting the suitability of a certain material for 3D Printing.
Plastic, metal, resin, etc. are some of the commonly used materials in 3D Printing. As 3D Printing is evolving greatly, new materials are being searched. Research needs to carried out regarding different materials that can be introduced and utilized in 3D Printing area. This will open up new opportunities in 3D Printing.
No longer is 3D Printing just considered for industrial applications. It is being included in various other sectors like automotive, aerospace, construction, etc. Along with this, due to continuous growth of 3D Printing, there are various possibilities of application of 3D Printing in other sectors as well, where it has not been used before.
4D Printing is also gaining popularity and is progressing rapidly. The progression from 3D Printing to 4D Printing has given way to different possibilities. The innovations and advances in 4D Printing are bringing a lot of opportunities for various applications as well.
This book invites chapters regarding the research and progress in 3D Printing, the inclusion of technology like AI and ML, the scope and possibilities of introducing new materials in 3D Printing, application of 3D Printing in different sectors, progression from 3D Printing to 4D Printing, new possibilities and innovations in 4D Printing, etc.
This book aims to discuss and bring forward the cutting-edge research in 3D Printing.
