The 7th edition of the international conference on “Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis” will be held at Curtin University, Western Australia during the period September 23-26, 2018. CMD provides a forum for both researchers and experts in power engineering to discuss and share ideas, present results, reflect on past experiences and discuss future projects on the high voltage electric power apparatus monitoring, fault diagnosis and asset management.

The conference will be held in the picturesque campus of Curtin University, Perth, Australia; September 23-26, 2018.
Scope
The scope of the conference is contemporary and original research, innovative solutions for electric power industry in the area of condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and asset management. The scope of conference includes, but is not limited to following topics:

- High Voltage Sustainable Technologies
- Insulation Materials
- Power equipment Planning & Asset Management
- Faults Identification and Quantification
- Self-Healing Technologies
Keynote speakers
World class researchers in the area of Condition Monitoring and Diagnosis will be invited.
Tutorials / Workshop
It is planned to conduct workshop / tutorials on Sunday 23 September 2018.
Submission of Papers
Prospective authors from universities, research institutions, government departments and industry are invited to submit a full paper electronically (http://cmd2018.com.au/)* with a maximum number of six A4 size pages. All papers will be peer reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Selected papers will be nominated for publication in the Australian Journal of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (AJEEE). Authors will have the chance to expand their CMD conference papers and submit it to the IEEE Transaction on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation special issue on “condition monitoring and diagnosis”. Call for papers for this special issue will be released early 2018 with a submission due date on 31 October 2018. Also, Editors-in-Chief of the IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine have agreed to publish selected contributions from CMD 2018 over six issues of EIM. Such articles would have to be expanded versions of the conference contributions with a significant amount of new material, and they would have to be re-reviewed in the normal way.
Special/Panel Sessions
Prospective organiser of special and panel sessions are invited to submit their proposals by 25 May 2018 to the conference secretariat.

Registration
The full registration fee is AU$850 per participant (early bird is AU$800). A rate of $650 per participant is available for students (early bird is $600). One day conference registration (including conference gala dinner) is available for industry participants at $350. Full registration includes a copy of the proceedings, lunches, morning and afternoon tea, welcome reception and conference gala dinner.
Accommodation
A number of rooms will be booked in the Pan Pacific Perth Hotel and the Perth Ambassador Hotel at Conference discount rates.
