The 5th International Conference on Applied Robotics for the Power Industry (CARPI 2018) is a three-day event that will bring together stakeholders interested in robotics applications in the power industry. The program will include presentations of robotics solutions for construction, refurbishment, inspection, and maintenance of power systems. R&D decision makers and robotics scientists and developers will have the chance to meet in a forum that allows them to share high-value solutions.
The conference, expected to draw approximately 300 people from major organizations around the world, is intended for innovation-driven decision makers, system operators, end users, R&D development teams from electric utilities, research centers, manufacturers, universities, and service providers.
Researchers enthusiastic to show field test results of their new robots or with new algorithms have a day devoted to those activities. Industrial people proudly presenting their newest implementations or looking for new methods are warmly welcome to participate and contribute.
Publication
As in previous editions of the conference, this 5th edition will select papers to be published in IEEE Xplore (Requested, pending approval)
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original research contributions in English, in the form of an extended abstract up to 1000 words.
Authors should submit their abstracts electronically in PDF format via EasyChair:
Reviewing for CARPI 2018 will be double blind so authors must remove their names from the submitted abstracts, and should take reasonable care not to indirectly disclose their identity. Three program committee members will be assigned to review each abstract. Acceptance will be based on the abstract's significance, technical quality, clarity, relevance and originality.
After acceptance, six pages in the standard IEEE format are allowed for each paper, including figures, with up to two extra pages with an extra payment per extra page. Papers must be written in English following the standard IEEE guidelines:
Accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation, which requires that at least one of the authors registers at the Conference and presents the paper. Failure to meet this requirement will imply removing the paper from the proceedings.
