CAPS 2019 is the 3rd International Conference on Complexity and Policy Studies. The conference is a cross-disciplinary conference that brings together researchers, practitioners, and funders to explore the application of insights from the study of complex systems to public policy with a special emphasis on social good. The conference gives practitioners and researchers the opportunity to learn from each other, explore collaborations, and hear from funders about the most promising ways to fund their projects.

CAPS 2019 will be held April 15 - 17, 2019 at Open Gov Hub, which is located near the White House in the heart of Washington, D.C.

Presentations
To present at the conference authors should submit a full paper of up to 10 pages (5000 words). Unless requested otherwise the accepted papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Policy and Complex Systems. Please visit the CAPS 2019 website for additional details.
The conference accepts two kinds of papers at the intersection of complex systems studies, public policy, and social good. Submissions will be in PDF format using EasyChair.
- Academic papers that present original research (up to 10 pages)
- Case studies or reflections on policy practice by practitioners (up to 10 pages)
Workshops
The organizers will consider the possibility to organize 1-2 workshops on specific topics. These can be short workshops that take place during the conference or long half-day workshops that can take place before or after the conference. If you are interested in organizing a workshop, please e-mail your contact information, workshop title, and workshop description to info@caps-conference.org.
