The objective of the workshop is to establish a forum for the discussion on recent contributions in the field of cognitive cyber-physical systems (C-CPS). Cyber-physical systems (CPS) enable us to interconnect all elements of an industrial production process. Their transition to wireless connections extend their usability, however at the same time making them prone to impairments of wireless communication links. Cognitive CPSs contain nodes with cognitive capabilities that are able to sense, analyze the environment, and act based on their analysis results. Although a promising area with an immense potential, the research on C-CPS is still quite sparse. This workshop will focus on the applications and developments of C-CPS.
The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
-
- Design and implementation aspects
- Aerial networks in CPS/C-CPS
- Artificial intelligence in C-CPS
- Statistical signal processing in C-CPS
- Energy awareness for C-CPS
- Security of C-CPS, physical-layer/cross-layer security perspectives
- Data-bases and ICT infrastructure for C-CPS
- Privacy aspects on data analytics in CPS/C-CPS
- Blockchain applications
- Security aspects on communication networks in CPS and C-CPS
- Software and applications on C-CPS
This workshop is expected to merge researchers with academic and industrial visions in order to discuss the major aforementioned challenges and to stimulate novel contributions in C-CPS implementations with powerful physical and software-defined networking points of view.
