BCSCONF2018 is a programming competition conference open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in colleges and universities in the UAE to be hosted at Heriot-Watt University Dubai (https://www.hw.ac.uk/dubai.htm ) in Academic City, Dubai, UAE. It is associated with the Annual BCS ICT Conference (http://www.bcsconf.com) held in Abu Dhabi. The top ten teams from the programming competition will be invited to display their achievement at the main event in Abu Dhabi on 28th October 2018 to an audience of school students and visitors from industry. Further details are provided below.
Submission Guidelines
All projects must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another event. Please follow the following steps:
- Project Abstract: We welcome abstracts in the following areas: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IOT), Robotics, Cyber security, Block chain, Augmented/Virtual Reality, Health Care, Mobile Apps, Telecommunications, eLearning, Cloud computing, UX, 3D Printing. Submit a short description/abstract of application to be developed and the problem it solves (max one A4 page). Deadline 20/5/2018. Notification of acceptance: 3/6/2018.
- Project Report: Submit by 22/7/2018 (max 10 pages description about application. Good to include a Video link about application). Notification of Acceptance: 22/8/2018. Feedback will be given to improve the accepted project further.
- Project Presentation: Application demo including power point presentaion if possible at Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus on 7/10/2018.
- Important note: Teams of 2-3 Members are allowed and open to all University Undergraduate & Postgraduate students in the UAE. Individual submissions are also possible. Mix of UG and PG students are possible. Team members from different Universities are welcome.
