With the rapid development of information technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), the deep integration of technology and education has become an important trend in global educational reform. In the field of language education, how to effectively utilize AI and other intelligent technologies to promote innovation in teaching concepts and learning methods is becoming a significant topic in contemporary educational research. Intelligent technologies not only provide language learners with more personalized, interactive, and timely feedback learning environments but also offer new solutions and practical paths for teaching design, learning assessment, teacher training, and more.
In this context, the coordinated development of information technology and language teaching manifests not only as an upgrade in teaching methods but also signifies a profound reconstruction of language education concepts and methodologies. The "The 2025 International Conference of Artificial Intelligence and Technology-Enhanced Language Learning Together with the Post-Graduate Academic Forum" emerges precisely under such circumstances. The conference is co-organized by Shanghai International Studies University and the China Association for Artificial Intelligence, undertaken by the International Education School of Shanghai International Studies University, co-sponsored by the School of Foreign Languages at East China Normal University, and guided by the Educational Management Information Center of the Ministry of Education. It aims to build an international, multidisciplinary, high-level academic exchange platform focusing on the integration of smart technologies and language education. This conference will invite top scholars and experts from relevant fields such as educational technology, AI, language education, evaluation, and teacher development both domestically and internationally to gather together, share cutting-edge achievements, and inspire cross-disciplinary thinking.
The conference specially sets up a thematic forum titled "Knowledge Production in the Age of AI: Reorientation of Authors, Editors, and Publishers," targeting global researchers and young scholars, providing practical academic guidance and opportunities for in-depth exchanges. This initiative aims to enhance research literacy, broaden international perspectives, and promote the production and dissemination of high-quality academic outcomes. Now, we sincerely invite university administrators, researchers, and graduate students from related fields to submit their contributions. The conference accepts submissions in both Chinese and English. All papers will undergo expert review, and outstanding papers will be recommended for publication or compilation into collections. We look forward to exploring the future development direction of language education and jointly promoting educational innovation in the age of intelligence with you at this academic event!
