Asian Universities Alliance Postgraduate Academic Forum (AUAPAF) is an international high-level forum, which aims to provide a platform for students from AUA member universities to share their scientific research achievements, exchange academic ideas and improve their scientific research skills.
AUAPAF will be hosted at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China on 20-22 October 2018. Themed The New Era of Artificial Intelligence, the forum will exhibit our vision of the approaching new era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The general chair will be Professor Bo Zhang from Tsinghua University’s Department of Computer Science and Technology. Professor Zhang is a member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, who has made fundamental contributions to AI technology in China.
We sincerely invite graduates in relevant fields from AUA member universities to submit their papers which will be reviewed for selection. Experts from relevant fields will be invited as reviewers, and papers from successful applicants will be chosen for oral presentation or poster display at the graduate forum. We look forward to welcoming excellent applicants to Beijing.

The Theme of AUAPAF: The New Era of Artificial Intelligence
It is well known that the fast development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) deeply influences human society and the world—AlphaGo is a good example. After more than 60 years’ progress, AI has entered a new era with myriad advanced features such as deep learning, cross integration, man-machine cooperation, etc. There is a tremendous need for advanced AI technology in fields such as mobile internet, big data, supercomputing, sensor networks and brain science. AI is one of the key advancements of our time.

Eligibility
1. PhD and postgraduate students from AUA member universities.
2. Research abstract and full-text paper (6~10 pages) that conforms to the subtopics in Annix1. Published or unpublished papers are both welcomed.
3. Author must own complete intellectual property rights of the research, without plagiarism or other academic fraudulence.
4. Paper submissions must be written in English. Please note all the oral presentations and poster displays will be conducted in English.

1. Abstract
2. Full text of the paper (6 ~ 10 pages) edited with Word or Latex. Style templates are shown in Annex 2. Submitted papers should be converted to a PDF file with prescribed format.

Subscription
AUAPAF Organizing Committee will distribute information related to AUAPAF to participants through email. In order to receive upcoming information, forum participants are strongly recommended to subscribe through the following link:
Review
Experts from relevant fields will be invited as reviewers. The papers will be evaluated on criteria including creativity, diversity, contribution to the field, etc.
The forum intends to feature approximately 80 papers. Applicants will be informed of the review result on 15 August 2018.
Financial Support
Authors of selected papers will be provided with:
1. Round-trip air ticket (Economy class) at no more than 1,000 USD. (Please note that AUAPAF organizing committee will be responsible for purchasing the ticket. For air tickets exceeding 1,000 USD, a maximum travel subsidy of 1,000 USD will be granted.)
2. Accommodation for up-to-three nights from 19 October to 21 October
3. Meals during the forum
4. Airport transfer on arrival and departure
5. Transportation and admission tickets for events organized by AUAPAF
Other personal expenses will be borne by the participants themselves.
