Workshop on Applications of Probability Theory in Linguistics
This workshop will take place as part of the German Linguistic Society (DGfS) Annual Conference, 6-9 March, 2018. The workshop itself will take place on the last two days (8-9 March, 2018).

- 20.08.2017 Submission of abstract.
- 10.09.2017 Authors receive decision.
- 12.09.2017 Confirmation of attendance due.
- 01.11.2017 Revised abstract due for book of abstracts (DGfS abstract template available from the worshop website).
- 08.03.2017-09.03.2017 Workshop takes place.
Submission Guidelines
Please prepare a one page, pdf abstract for blind review (including references). Abstracts should be formatted as follows: A4, single spaced, 12pt, 2.5cm margins.
Please note that accepted abstracts will need to be formatted as one-page abstracts in the DGfS abstract format by 01.11.2017 (DGfS abstract template available from the worshop website).
List of Topics
Topics for talks include but are not restricted to: (i) similarities and differences among applications of probability theory different parts of grammar; (ii) categorical judgements on the basis of probabilistic reasoning and inference; (iii) learning of linguistic categories in conditions of uncertainty; (iv) computational aspects of probability driven classification.
