Dynamic Changes in agriculture and resources
The Local Organising Committee for the 2019 Australasian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society (AARES) now invites Selected Paper, Contributed Paper and Poster contributions highlighting the latest economic research and policy innovations in the areas of agriculture, environment, food, resource and agribusiness. The 2019 Annual AARES Conference will offer a forum for applied and theoretical economists to gather along with industry and policymakers to share experiences and draw insights. We will learn ways to create opportunities to achieve rising and shared prosperity while better managing the natural environment in our region and beyond.
As always, the aim of the AARES Conference is to foster discussion and the interchange of ideas, solutions, new methods and techniques, theories and trends across our disciplinary domains including agricultural economics, natural resource economics, environmental economics, ecological economics, energy economics, natural resource management, multi-disciplinary studies and policy issues related to these areas of intellectual inquiry. A list of paper/poster themes for the conference program are included below.
Submission Guidelines
Contributed and Selected Papers should be around 5,000 – 8,000 words in length, with full papers to be provided to AARES by the conference date. All papers will be automatically uploaded to the Ag Econ Search website after the conference unless authors expressly advise otherwise. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Please note that unsuccessful paper submissions may be asked to present a poster if there is space in the program. This will be communicated to applicants after 10th December when program commitments will be better known.
Selected Papers
Selected Papers are invited on any topic relevant to the conference theme via the ‘Submit Button’ above. Titles and 250-word abstracts will be used to select papers for inclusion in the program and must be submitted by the closing date of 22 October 2018. All presenters are encouraged to produce a technical paper to support their presentation. Titles and abstracts of successful submissions will be included in the Conference Handbook. As each delegate is only entitled to make one verbal presentation, please consider submitting posters for your additional research projects. Note that there are no restrictions on co-authorship for contributed papers. A Selected Paper Template can be downloaded here.
All Selected Papers must include at least one of the themes listed below on this page, to assist with the review process. Please make sure to include the relevant theme(s) with the key words as part of the submission process. Based on your theme selection, papers will be allocated to thematic sessions following the sub-themes of the conference and, where appropriate, to other specific themes.
