The Nexus Informatics Conference provides a unique blend of informatics perspectives and expertise – industry, academia, medicine, agriculture, technology and biology – a true “nexus”. Attendees will have opportunities to discover capabilities, share tactical approaches to problem solving, explore synergies, and launch potential collaborations.
Submission Guidelines
- The abstract should be written in paragraph format and cover the following topics (but do not use these as headings or sections in the abstract body):
- Research question or project goal
- Project background or context
- Methodology or process
- Results or major outcome
- Conclusions about the broader implications of your work
- The body of the abstract must be at least 150 words and no more than 300 words, in a single paragraph with no headings or citations. Do not list your project title or advisor name in the abstract body (you should include these on your poster, not in the abstract body). You may include co-authors in the abstract.
- The abstract must specify preliminary findings unless you are in the process of collecting data and will have findings/results by April 7, and should be specified in the abstract.
- Abstracts that have been presented at other conferences within the past year are eligible for submission.
- The project title should be no more than 10 words (shorter is better).
- The content and style of your abstract should fit the typical format of your field.
Student Poster Session: April 7, 11:30am - 1:00pm
- Each poster presenter is assigned a 4-ft. x 4-ft. poster-board to use. Posters are placed on display for the entirety of the 90-minute poster session. Posters may be presented in either landscape or portrait format.
- Poster presenters are expected to be present at their poster for the entire session from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.
- Presenters may have their posters displayed as early as 8:00 am, but must have their poster displayed by 10:30 am.
- Posters may not be removed until April 8, as early as 8:00 am.
- Posters that do not follow the guidelines may not be accepted.
