The Graduate Research Conference offers students at Stevens Institute of Technology the opportunity to present their research to the broader Stevens community. The goals of this conference are:
- To foster communication between the multiple departments and programs on campus
- To help develop communication skills for our various graduate students, both Masters’ and Ph.D.
The talks are meant to be aimed at the lay audience, meaning that they should be approachable by educated persons who are not experts in the particular field of the speaker. In the current climate, it is more important than ever for scientists, engineers, and other researchers to be able to clearly communicate their work to the broader public, and this conference gives students the opportunity to practice these skills in a friendly environment.
