14th Aotearoa New Zealand Organisational Psychology and Organisational Behaviour Conference
Thursday 20th to Friday 21st November 2025
Auckland University of Technology
CALL FOR PAPERS
The 14th Aotearoa New Zealand Organisational Psychology and Organisational Behaviour Conference will take place this year at Auckland University of Technology on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November.
Thursday will be a Practitioner Day, run in collaboration with the Institute of Organisational Psychology (https://organisationalpsychology.nz/), and will feature consultants and applied psychologists speaking about practice in Aotearoa/NZ. Friday will consist of oral presentations from New Zealand’s thriving community of faculty, students and practitioners. Each day, we will commence at approximately 8:30 am for morning tea/coffee, welcome, and networking. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, including morning and afternoon tea, a full lunch, and a drinks and nibbles networking event on Friday to close the conference.
Practitioner Day (Day 1)
We open the conference with a dynamic immersion into the real-world practice of organisational psychology. Led by practitioners, this day bridges theory and practice, showcasing how psychological principles drive transformation in leadership, culture, and performance. Delegates will gain fresh insights into applied methodologies, interventions, client case studies, and emerging challenges from the field. Academics will have the opportunity to enrich their scholarship and teaching with engaging examples, lived experiences, and employee outcomes. Join us to explore how theory comes alive in the workplace.
Practitioner Day Submission Process
We invite consultants and applied psychologists to share real-world case studies, interventions, and insights that advance organisational practice in Aotearoa. Presentation formats include:
- 30-minute Applied Talk
- 60- or 90-minute Interactive Workshop
- 5-minute Lightning Talk
Submit your 250-word abstract via this form: Practitioner Day Abstract SubmissionSubmissions are open now and close at 11:59 pm on Friday 12 September 2025.All submission requirements are outlined on the first page of the form.
ANZOPOB Conference (Day 2)
We welcome academics, postgraduate students, and practitioners working on topics related to organisational and work psychology, organisational behaviour, and management. This is a welcoming and inclusive event where we offer a full programme of peer-reviewed, high-quality, innovative presentations which are both academically rigorous and engagingly presented.
Scholars will present papers including empirical studies, cases, theoretical advancements, conceptual papers, and methodological innovations across topics such as leadership, motivation, organisational culture, performance, and wellbeing. This is an opportunity to engage with peers, refine research agendas, and contribute to the ongoing development of our discipline.
The aims of this conference are to:
- Provide a forum to share current research and thinking conducted in Aotearoa/New Zealand.
- Develop and maintain an inclusive community of organisational psychology and organisational behaviour researchers and practitioners.
You are welcome to attend as a delegate or submit an extended abstract for consideration to present (please use the EasyChair submission link below). The registration link will be available HERE by the end of August.
