Call For Papers
11th Arché Graduate Conference
University of St Andrews, October 13-14th 2018
The Arché Philosophical Research Centre is hosting the 11th Annual Arché Graduate Conference, to be held at the University of St Andrews, on the 13th and 14th of October 2018. We invite graduate students to submit high-quality papers for presentation in the main Arché research areas (Epistemology, Language, Logic, Metaphilosophy, Metaphysics, Mind) broadly construed, as well as related areas. We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups in philosophy and papers that are aimed at a general philosophical audience. All accepted talks will receive comments from a member of Arché. We aim to provide a substantial travel bursary for all speakers, and offer free accommodation with a St Andrews graduate student.
Keynote Speakers: We are pleased to announce that our keynote speakers are Professor Kathrin Glüer-Pagin (Stockholm) and Dr. Tim Button (Cambridge).
Submission requirements: Submissions should include an abstract (max. 250 words) and a paper no longer than 4,000 words (including foot- and endnotes, excluding the bibliography). Papers should be suitable for a presentation of around 30 minutes; must be authored (or co-authored) by current graduate students (limited to 1 submission per author); and be suitable for blind review. All submissions should be sent through EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=11agc.
Submission deadline: July 10, 2018.
Notification of acceptance: August 10, 2018.
With any further enquiries, please email mf73@st-andrews.ac.uk.
We look forward to reading your submissions!
