The video game industry is a billion-dollar industry with increasing penetration into society. Yet, apart from the traditional psychological and social studies of addiction and violence, there are significant questions yet to be fully explored: questions of experience, representation, immersion, autonomy, reflections of modern and ancient societies, friendship, gamification, game mechanics, norms, the nature of play, virtual reality, identity, links with other media, and other ethical and philosophical questions. This track invites submissions in all areas to do with video games and philosophy and/or social impact.
