Development of AI/robots and communication tools permeates society and may drastically change our lifestyle. Mobile communication has invoked a sharing economy while those who have difficulty using technology may become increasingly alienated. To avoid such alienation, a smooth interface between human and machine must be developed not only on the side of machine but also on the side of human beings. Machines should learn the ways of life with which human children are equipped through experiences as well as methods to cross cultural borders. Guidelines of education and requirements to develop systems are needed, both technological and social, for sound life with AI/robots. Topics for this session include: Ethical admissibility of AI/robots, Social impacts of robots in elderly care, Impacts of AI/robots in elementary/secondary/higher education.
