The use of digital health is expanding rapidly. The technologies, and the ways in which health and care systems are changing, hold huge promises. Yet policy- makers, citizens, and researchers are also becoming ever more aware of the ethical, legal, social and governance challenges that societies may face as a result of the likely system and organisational changes. The challenges affect not only the European continent but many health and care systems globally, including in many low- and middle- income countries. It is anticipated that this challenging field of investigation will appeal to presenters from applied as well as academic contexts. Cross-disciplinary approaches and papers co-authored by, for example, health and care professionals and decision-makers alongside scholars from a wide variety if domains are welcomed. Cross-cutting safety, security, privacy, and behavioural areas of study and research as well as real-life, concrete assessment and analyses of institutional change are all suggested areas for coverage.
