We are canceling the workshop because of insufficient number of submissions.
High performance computing (HPC) is leaping into mobile embedded systems. Embedded systems become increasingly more powerful as systems with a lot of embedded processors are consolidated into fewer but bigger systems-on-a-chip (SOC). This workshop shall bring together domain experts of high performance computing, mobile systems, embedded systems, architects. Welcome are contributions of experiences, studies, problem descriptions and possible solutions for mobile embedded HPC systems.
We welcome submissions on topics like the following but not limited to:
- Software architecture allowing mobile embedded high performance computers
- Challenges and solutions in hardware virtualization, hypervisor use, multi-OS-layouts
- Software frameworks and abstractions layers for embedded hardware accelerators
- Integration considerations, technically and/or organizationally when having multiple organizations contributing
- Architecture alternatives alongside decision considerations.
- Processes, methods, tools for handling the inherent complexity of developing HPC systems.
- Safety and cybersecurity considerations
While the original idea for this workshop was to consider mobile embedded systems because those have to rely on battery power, we do welcome submissions about stationary systems, too, if those operate with compareable environment requirements.
We welcome academic papers as well as very practical papers, as long as the latter ones comply with academic standards.
Submission Guidelines
Papers should contain original material and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference in identical form. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers Complete text for peer review. 8-12 pages
- Short papers Complete text for peer review. 3-6 pages
All accepted papers to be published in the "Informatik 2022 Proceedings", format "Lecture Notes in Informatics". Please use templates available at the GI LNI page.
