The main purpose of the CoLInS conference is a discussion of the recent research results in all areas of Natural Language Processing and Intelligent Systems. We are pleased to announce that the 8th CoLInS conference will take place in April 2024 in Lviv (Ukraine). The conference will be held annually. It will take the form of an oral presentation by invited keynote speakers plus presentations of peer-reviewed individual papers. A Student section of the conference will run parallel to the main conference. We invite students and PhD students to take part in the CoLInS Student section. The papers accepted at CoLInS will be published in the conference proceedings. CoLInS is indexed in SCOPUS, DBLP, Google Scholar.
CoLInS conference grew out of the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Intelligent Systems and Applied Linguistics” (ISAL), organised for experts in the field, PhD students, students, and young scientists. The main organizer of ISAL conference was the Intelligent Computer Systems Department of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The 1st conference was held in March 2012 and was dedicated to the 5th anniversary of ICS Department. Within 6 years, many Ukrainian and foreign researchers have taken part in the ISAL conference. It was a place (a platform) to discuss the challenges and progress in computational, mathematical, structural and applied linguistics. All papers accepted at ISAL were published in the conference proceedings.
Since 2017 the conference has become International. In odd years, passes based on National Technical University “KhPI” (Intellectual Computer Systems Department, Department of Software Engineering and Management Information Technologies), and in a couple years it takes place based on Lviv Polytechnic National University (Information Systems and Network Department)
Since 2018, Politechnika Śląska and LIMSI-CNRS & Université Paris 13 have become co-organizers, and the international program committee was significantly expanded. All that contributed to indexing the best works of the conference at SCOPUS, DBLP, and Google Scholar.
The conference's speciality is unique to Ukraine and relevant to modern Computer Science.
The conference aims to discuss the development of computational linguistics and the introduction of information technology in linguistic systems; exchange ideas; discuss trends in developing intelligent computer systems; establish contacts between scientists, and promote talented youth in scientific activities. Particular attention during the conference is devoted to applying mathematical models, methods of artificial intelligence and other approaches of technical sciences to the solution of the actual linguistic problems.
One of the central areas of this conference is Natural Language Processing (NLP) based on Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. NLP technologies play a central part in the automation of text analysis and language databases and ensure the interaction between a person and a computer through a natural language. With NLP, people can solve various tasks, such as language recognition, mood analysis, automatic summation, etc.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
